Adam Piggott and Jayne Freeman acoustic duo perform at The Sandgate Hotel
Adam Piggott and Jayne Freeman return to their musical roots as they collaborate on an album of beautiful original acoustic songs. Previous musical projects have taken them from performances at The Royal Albert Hall, BBC Radio 6, The National Theatre and tours across Italy, Holland and France.
Combining powerful acoustic guitar and ukulele with inspired melodies in the folk and pop tradition the duo also take a unique slant on some well known and unexpected covers.
Their album ‘Anytime Now’ on Big Village Records has just been released and is now available on itunes.

We may not have a stage at The Sandgate Hotel but Jason puts on an impressive stage performance as he encourages the audience to sing, dance and reminisce bygone rock ‘n roll legends.

Sandgate on the Olympic flame route
The Olympic Torch Path for 2012 has been unveiled – and the torch will be passing through Hythe, Sandgate and Folkestone on 18 July 2012.
The full destination list for Day 61 of the torch route is Hastings, Rye, Hamstreet, Ashford, Hythe, Sandgate, Folkestone and Dover – just 9 days before the official opening ceremony on 27th July.

Folkestone West and Sandgate County Councillor Tim Prater said:

Nina Clark plays live in the lounge bar
Nina Clark’s aim as a singer-songwriter/guitarist is to fuse and bridge genres.
Hailing from Kent, since entering the music world in 2003, Nina has played in London, Paris, Chicago and has enjoyed a broad musical experience. Her influences vary from the powerful honesty of writer/performers like Bjork, Feist and Joni Mitchell to the primal gutsiness of Led Zeppelin, and her own musical sets reflect this range.
